High School Special Education Teacher
Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate High School Special Education Teacher to join our team. This position involves working with students who have a variety of learning needs, providing individualized instruction, and fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that allows students to achieve their full potential. This position will be open until filled.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Provide direct instruction and support to students in both one-on-one and small group settings.
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are being implemented effectively.
Monitor student progress, assess needs, and adjust instruction as necessary.
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavior, and other essential records.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
Participate in IEP meetings and school-wide events to support the needs of students with disabilities.
Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education or the ability to obtain licensure (preferred).
Experience or strong understanding of working with students with diverse learning needs.
A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Elementary Education Teacher
Ulen-Hitterdal Public School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Elementary Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package in accordance with our Master Agreement.
Position Requirements:
A valid Minnesota Elementary Teaching License or the ability to obtain licensure through the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching or student teaching experience with elementary-aged students.
Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and the broader community.
Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess student needs through both formal and informal evaluations.
Plan, develop, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the elementary curriculum.
Maintain accurate student records in compliance with district policies, state laws, and school regulations.
Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
Fulfill additional job-related duties as assigned.

Indian Education Director
Job Overview:
The Ulen-Hitterdal School District is seeking a passionate and experienced Indian Education Director to lead and support educational programs for Native American students. The Indian Education Director will work to ensure that culturally relevant programs and services are available to students, providing guidance and leadership in the development and implementation of programs that promote academic success, cultural awareness, and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Lead and oversee the district’s Indian Education Program, ensuring that all students have access to culturally appropriate educational opportunities.
Develop, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs for Native American students, ensuring they are aligned with district goals and state standards.
Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff to promote a culturally inclusive school environment.
Serve as the liaison between the school district, Native American families, and tribal communities to address educational needs and concerns.
Provide professional development opportunities for staff to increase cultural competency and awareness.
Monitor student progress and academic performance, and advocate for resources and support services as needed.
Foster relationships with tribal organizations, community groups, and cultural institutions to enhance student learning and community engagement.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of Native American cultures, history, and education policies.
Previous experience working with Native American students and communities is preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to develop and implement culturally relevant programs and initiatives.

Evening Custodian
Available Hours:
- Full-Time: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Part-Time: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Job Overview:
The Evening Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean and secure environment throughout the school building during evening hours.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Clean and maintain elementary and high school classrooms, including vacuuming, wiping down desks, and emptying trash.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including floors, toilets, sinks, and countertops, as well as refilling paper towels, toilet tissue, and soap dispensers.
- Sweep and vacuum hallways to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Collect trash and take it to the dumpster; break down boxes for recycling.
- Clean bleachers and maintain gymnasium floors following sporting events.
- Ensure all lights are turned off and doors are secured (locked) before leaving the building each night.
