The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

The Ulen-Hitterdal Chapter of the National Honor Society is comprised of sophomores, juniors and seniors who have a minimum grade point average of 3.6 and who demonstrate their skills to be leaders in the community and at school. In the past years U-H NHS has sponsored the annual Veteran’s Day Program, had a “Pennies for Katrina” drive, raised $750 to send a veteran on the Honor Flight, participated in spring cleanup, sponsored candy-grams to celebrate special occasions, sponsored an informative program on Meth, served as coaches at Special Olympics and coordinated recycling at school on the second Wednesday of each month.
