Textbook: Northern Lights, The Story of Minnesota’s Past
Course Description:
Why Study Minnesota History? The study of Minnesota History will capture students’ imaginations with the stories of the people who have come together to share, create and transform this place we call Minnesota into the state it is today.
What will we study in Minnesota History 6? We start in with the first Minnesotans, before statehood up to present day, and everything in between. We will discuss and study the Civics, History, Geography and the Economics of Minnesota.
Grading Based On:
Daily Work, Reports and Projects, Classroom Participation, Quizzes and Tests.
Grading Scale:
100-90 = A
89-80 = B
79-70 = C
69-60 = D
59-0 = F
Materials: Bring a Chromebook(if needed) and a pen or pencil, paper and a folder.
CLASSROOM RULES
- RESPECT ALL TEACHERS AND CLASSMATES.
- BE IN YOUR SEAT, READY TO WORK WHEN BELL RINGS.
- BRING REQUIRED BOOKS AND MATERIALS TO CLASS.
- TURN ASSIGNMENTS IN ON TIME (NO LATE WORK ALLOWED) UNLESS WRITTEN EXCUSE FROM OFFICE HAS BEEN AUTHORIZED.
- NO POP OR FOOD UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY TEACHER.
- NO CHEATING. (STUDENTS CAUGHT CHEATING WILL RECEIVE A ZERO AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO OTHER PUNISHMENT)
- MISBEHAVIOR WHEN SUBSTITUTE TEACHER ARE PRESENT IS PROHIBITED. (CONSEQUENCES WILL BE SEVERE.)
- NO CELL PHONES!!!!
